Terms of Service
Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Sofuto Solutions LLP, a United Kingdom Limited Liability Partnership (Companies House registration OC454766) with registered office at 27 Old Gloucester Street, London WC1N 3AX, United Kingdom (“we,” “us,” or the “Company”), governing access to and use of Werepost (the “Service”) at werepost.ai.
By creating an account, using the web application, connecting a social account, or calling the Werepost API, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind it.
Description of the Service
Werepost lets you connect supported social accounts, upload or reference media, prepare platform-specific settings, and publish immediately or at a scheduled time through a web application or API. It also records publishing state and exposes controls to inspect, retry, cancel, or delete a Werepost post record.
Connected platforms and other service providers remain independent from Werepost. Platform availability, permissions, review processes, rate limits, content requirements, and publishing behaviour may change without our control.
Account Requirements
- You must be at least 13, meet the minimum age for every connected platform, and have legal capacity to enter these Terms.
- You must own or have permission to administer every profile, channel, page, community, and social account you connect.
- You must provide accurate information and keep your Werepost session, email account, and devices secure.
- You are responsible for activity under your account and for promptly reporting suspected unauthorised use.
Connecting Social Media Accounts
When you start a connection, Werepost sends you directly to the selected platform's authorisation flow. By completing it, you instruct us and our processors to access authorised account information and publish on your behalf. Some platforms require you to select a page, channel, business, or location after authorisation. We do not ask for or store your social-platform password.
You may disconnect in Werepost or revoke access through the platform's connected-app settings. Revocation can prevent pending posts from being delivered. Your use of each connected platform remains subject to its own terms, policies, and account settings.
API Keys and Profiles
A Werepost API key is a secret credential. It is displayed only when created. You must store it securely, send it only over HTTPS, and never embed it in public client code, repositories, or shared documents. You are responsible for API activity authenticated with your keys until a key is deleted or revoked.
API operations are scoped to a Werepost profile. A key may act only on profiles owned by the same Werepost account. You must supply the correct profile_id, use a unique idempotency key for each intended post, respect documented request limits, and delete a credential immediately if you believe it has been exposed.
Publishing, Scheduling, and Deletion
You control the content, destination, timing, and platform options submitted to the Service. “Immediate” publishing still requires media transfer and processing and may take time. Scheduled delivery depends on Werepost, its processors, the destination platform, the connected account remaining authorised, and the media remaining available.
Status information is operational information and is not a guarantee that content is visible to every audience. A platform may process, review, limit, remove, or reject content after accepting it.
Deleting a pending Werepost post instructs the Service to cancel it and removes the Werepost record and associated private media where applicable. Deletion may race with publication and does not necessarily remove content already delivered to a social platform. You must use the destination platform's controls to manage already-published content.
User Responsibilities
You may use Werepost only for lawful, authorised purposes. You must not use the Service to:
- publish content you do not have the right to use or distribute;
- violate law, a court order, another person's intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or other rights, or a connected platform's rules;
- harass, defraud, impersonate, deceive, or distribute malware or unlawful content;
- bypass access controls, probe or disrupt the Service, scrape it beyond documented interfaces, or attempt to discover another user's data;
- share, resell, sublicense, or expose API credentials, or use automated traffic that unreasonably burdens the Service;
- misrepresent synthetic, branded, sponsored, regulated, or age-restricted content where a platform or law requires disclosure.
We may refuse, suspend, or remove access or content where reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect the Service or others, respond to a platform, or comply with law.
Beta Availability and Fees
The Service is currently offered in beta. Features, supported platforms, limits, and availability may change as we test and improve it. We may introduce paid plans in the future. Before charging you, we will present the applicable price, billing period, renewal terms, cancellation method, and any additional payment terms for your agreement. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights.
Intellectual Property
Your content
As between you and us, you retain ownership of content you submit. You are responsible for having all rights and permissions needed to use it and publish it to each destination.
Our platform
The Service, including its software, design, branding, documentation, and related materials, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by law. Except where law does not permit a restriction, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from non-public parts of the Service.
License to operate
You grant us and our processors a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, copy, format, transmit, and otherwise process your content only as needed to operate, secure, and provide the Service on your instructions. This licence ends when the content is no longer needed for those purposes, subject to reasonable backups, legal obligations, and copies controlled by a connected platform.
Disclaimer of Warranties
TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE BETA SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” WE DISCLAIM IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE UNINTERRUPTED AVAILABILITY, A PARTICULAR PUBLISHING TIME, SUCCESSFUL DELIVERY, CONTINUED SUPPORT FOR A PLATFORM, OR THAT A PLATFORM WILL ACCEPT OR KEEP CONTENT.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SOFUTO SOLUTIONS LLP SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Loss of engagement, followers, opportunity, goodwill, profits, or revenue;
- A connected platform's rejection, restriction, removal, suspension, or policy change;
- Any loss of data or content;
- Any unauthorized access to or alteration of your content.
Our total aggregate liability arising out of the Service will not exceed the greater of £100 and the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These exclusions and limits do not apply to fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Indemnification
If you use the Service for business purposes, you will indemnify us and our personnel against third-party claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your content, your connected accounts, your violation of law or platform rules, or your material breach of these Terms. This section does not apply to consumers to the extent prohibited by applicable law.
Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time, disconnect social accounts, and delete API keys. Contact info@sofuto.uk to request account closure.
We may suspend or terminate access where you materially breach these Terms, create security or legal risk, fail to pay an agreed charge, or where a platform or law requires it. Where reasonably possible, we will give notice and an opportunity to remedy. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, disputes, and accrued payment obligations—will survive.
Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, save that consumers resident in the European Union retain the rights afforded to them by applicable mandatory law in their country of residence.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service or law changes. We will post the revised Terms and update the date above. If a change materially reduces your rights, we will provide reasonable additional notice where practical. Changes do not apply retroactively unless required by law.
